Minnesota Vikings

Looking at teams with some extra picks, you’ll notice that the Minnesota Vikings jump off the page as of late. Why? Well, trading Stefon Diggs for a heavy return certainly helped stack their 2020 draft capital.

Already, the Vikings have two first-round picks. But, I’m not necessarily talking about moving up into the first round. The Vikings also have two third-round picks, though, and that’s where the Bears should look.

A trade with the Vikings could look like this:

Believe it or not, using a value chart courtesy of Pro Football Reference, this deal still favors the Vikings. However, to give up three picks for one single pick should maybe favor the team giving up a trio of picks.

In this instance, though, Pace adds two net selections, including two in the third round which is huge. Now, the Bears have a chance to land three top-100 prospects, in essence.

Pace would get his shot at landing more than one of prospects like: Anthony Gordon, Brycen Hopkins, Ben Bredeson or even the often-debated Jake Fromm — among others. The Bears would have a lot more flexibility after a deal like this, and I think Pace should explore something along these lines.
