Chicago Bulls: Ranking every 1st round pick from 2010s
By Ryan Heckman
5. Center Wendell Carter Jr., Duke (2018)
A few years from now, we could be looking back and placing Wendell Carter Jr. a whole lot higher on this list. In two seasons with the Bulls, the former no. 7 pick has missed quite a few games due to injury — which is odd for someone who was rarely hurt throughout his early basketball life.

Through his two seasons though, Carter has been pretty good as a starting center. He came to the Bulls as arguably the most well-rounded big man in that draft next to Deandre Ayton, who went number one overall.
His sophomore season showed Carter was capable of becoming a solid double-double machine in the near future, as he averaged 11.3 points and 9.4 boards per game, and in just 29.2 minutes played.
As a big man, Carter has a decent jump shot but could really expand his arsenal by tailoring his outside game (19.7 percent from three-point range in two seasons).
Hopefully, once we get a chance to see a couple more seasons out of him, Carter becomes the well-rounded center Chicago envisioned him to be and can be a Bull for a long, long time.
