Chicago Bulls: Ranking every 1st round pick from 2010s
By Ryan Heckman
6. Guard Tony Snell, New Mexico (2013)
It feels like the Bulls have had a bunch of ho-hum picks over the years, and Tony Snell might be the king of that category. Was he a terrible pick? Not really. Was he a great pick? Far from it.
Snell was selected at no. 20 overall by the Bulls back in 2013 and came to the team as mostly a 3-and-D type of guy. That was his ceiling. To this day, that’s all he’s really been in the NBA.
He has shot the three ball at just about 39 percent over his seven seasons and is a mediocre defender. The fact he still has a career says something, obviously, but it hasn’t been all with Chicago.
After his first three years in the league, Snell headed for the Milwaukee Bucks. He played another three seasons with the Bucks before spending this last season with the Detroit Pistons after being traded.
