Round 4, Pick 129

Scouting Report. Pick Analysis. WR. Quartney Davis. 4. player. 57. Texas AM

Instead of having to wait until the fifth round to make a selection, their trade down allows the Bears to go back on the clock in the fourth round of this mock draft. Chicago severely lacks impact depth at the wide receiver position.

Aside from Allen Robinson, they do not have any both who they can consistently count on in the passing game. Quartney Davis would not solve all of their wide receiver issues, but he would be a dependable target who could make a difference for this team.

Davis is a phenomenal route-runner who consistently finds space in the middle of the field. He is lightning quick in and out of his breaks and shows great natural elusiveness in the open field. Davis creates consistent separation with his routes and uses his quickness well to create yardage after the catch. If the Chicago Bears were to draft Davis, he could quickly grow into one of their most reliable targets in the passing attack.

Round 5, Pick 163

Justin Herron. 5. player. Scouting Report. OT. Pick Analysis. Wake Forest. 57

Justin Herron is a long and athletic offensive tackle prospect who shows impressive natural ability in pass protection. He gets off of the ball and into his pass sets quickly and shows tremendous patience in pass pro situations. Herron lacks ideal functional strength and does not have great power at the point of attack, but if he can bulk up a bit at the next level, he has a chance to quickly become a valuable player on the offensive line.

The Bears currently trot out Charles Leno and Bobby Massie as an overall underwhelming starting duo at offensive tackle. Herron would not be in a position to immediately take over either spot, but with some proper development, he could quickly find himself in the mix.
