Buffalo Bills

The AFC East has been dominated by the New England Patriots for a very long time. For the first time in a while, we look at the Division as one that can be won by someone new. The Patriots still very well might come out strong with Tom Brady‘s replacement and win it but it looks like less of a lock going into the season. The Buffalo Bills might be able to dethrone them if all goes well.

That is why they might be able to help out Mitchell Trubisky. He would be able to go in there as the backup to Josh Allen. Allen took a step in 2019 and now looks like he can be their quarterback for a long time. They believe he can be the guy who can lead them to a division title and potentially a deep playoff run. If he got hurt, however, they would need a competent backup to come in and carry the torch until Allen came back.

A role like that could be really good for Trubisky. If he went to a situation and thrived in a role like that, he might be able to get a job as a starter again down the line. Thinking about guys like Ryan Tannehill, Teddy Bridgewater, and Mike Glennon make it seem possible for that to happen here. If any of these teams wanted to give Trubisky that sort of a chance as a backup, it would be good for him and the Bears.
