Chicago Bears: Three teams that would help Mitchell Trubiksy

The Chicago Bears have traded for Nick Foles so the thought of trading Mitchell Trubisky could be good for both parties involved.

The Chicago Bears have added another quarterback to the mix this offseason so far. They traded for Nick Foles so he can come in and compete with Mitchell Trubisky for the starting job. Trubisky simply wasn’t good enough last season to just roll with him alone into this season. Foles is a former Super Bowl Champion and Super Bowl MVP so saying that Trubisky is just a lock to be under center on opening day.

So what if the Bears really committed to Foles in the short term and traded away Trubisky? That is certainly possible but they would need to figure out a long term plan beyond Foles if they went down that road. That might be the best-case scenario for both parties. Clearly, Mitch isn’t the guy in Chicago but there are a few other teams that might be able to resurrect his career. Mitch is an awesome guy and teammate according to a lot of people but he simply just can’t help the Bears win football games on a regular basis.

So which teams would be able to help Trubisky out? Obviously, the New England Patriots come to mind for everyone. They have been the NFL’s model franchise for 20 years so everyone thinks they can fix everyone. They just might be able to, but this list is going to be teams that can fix them besides the obvious, which is the Patriots. If the Bears were to trade Trubisky to a team that can get the most of his abilities, it might have to be in a backup role.
