How he fits in Chicago

Parham is an absolute beast for his height. It was hard to ignore him while prepping for the 2019 NFL Draft, just looking at some late-round guys the Bears could target. Now, seeing that he’s put on a little weight (which was a big knock on him last spring), Parham looks the part.

At 6-foot-8, Parham is an immediate red zone threat. He’s also comfortable catching and running in the middle of the field. While Trey Burton can man that role, when healthy, he’s less of a big red zone threat simply based off his size. Parham gives Chicago the best of both worlds.

Of course, you have Jimmy Graham, who I’m sure Pace is hoping fills in as a red zone target. But, we’re not quite sure what the Bears are going to get out of Graham at this stage in his career.

In two tight end sets, Parham could even line up out wide, as well as the slot, giving the Bears’ starting quarterback some real versatility at the position. Parham is sneaky fast, too. With his long strides, it’s tough to see his speed unless you look at just how much ground he’s picking up. But, he’s quick.

If added to the Bears tight end room, I would see Parham as potentially the TE3 with a chance to play a lot more than your typical third guy on the depth chart. Pace should go out of his way to bring him in, because the Bears offense would be dynamic adding a guy like Parham.
