After seeing his NFL dreams put on hold, maybe the best thing that could have happened to Parham was getting himself into the inaugural XFL Draft. In the ninth round, Parham was selected by the Dallas Renegades.
Over Parham’s first two games, his quarterback was former East Carolina starter Philip Nelson. When Nelson began to struggle, it was on to Landry Jones for the Renegades. After Jones took over, the Dallas passing game averaged around 265 yards per game, taking a big leap.
Speaking of a big leap, Parham’s first game with Jones at the helm was his best of the season. On February 22nd, Parham caught five passes for 101 yards and two touchdowns against the Seattle Dragons.
He followed up the big performance with another five catches, this time for 76 yards and a score against the Los Angeles Wildcats in his next game.
Parham finished his first XFL season with 24 receptions (on 43 targets) for 307 yards and four touchdowns — and a long of 65 yards.
