Chicago Bears: 5 value free agents still available

Outside Linebacker Clay Matthews
Wouldn’t that be something — the Bears sign a guy who tormented them for years in the green and gold.
The Los Angeles Rams are going to look a little different next season. Already, they have cut Todd Gurley (who now has a home with the Atlanta Falcons) and veteran pass rusher Clay Matthews. They are also reportedly shopping wideout Brandin Cooks.
Last year, he signed with the Rams after having a few less-than-average seasons with the Packers. He ended up having his best season since 2014, finishing with 8.0 sacks on the year.
The Bears still need some depth on the edge, and adding Matthews as their third pass rusher behind Robert Quinn and Khalil Mack sounds like a dangerously good idea.
I wonder if Matthews would like the thought of playing the Packers twice a year. I also have to believe he’d have a little insight on how to better stop Aaron Rodgers.
With 91.5 career sacks, Matthews could end up breaking the century mark while wearing the navy and orange. I like the sound of that.
