Drake Caggiula. 5. player. 94. . LW. Chicago Blackhawks

The Chicago Blackhawks are going to be running out of room for bottom-six forwards if they don’t move any of them. Drake Caggiula might be the odd man out if another team is looking to add a fine player to their bottom-six for a Cup run of their own. Caggiula is a good player who can score timely goals when needed. He has only played in 40 games so far for Chicago in 2019-20 and he has nine goals and six assists for 15 points.

Caggiula’s nine goals in 40 games have him on an 18 goal pace. If a fourth-liner has 18 goals that would be an incredible year and provide tremendous depth. Caggiula can provide a bit of physicality too which might make him attractive on the trade block this summer if that is the route that Chicago wanted to take.

If the Blackhawks are able to keep Caggiula that might also be a smart move. They could trade another bottom-six forward to keep him in the mix but he might garner the most value back in a trade. If the Hawks are serious about improving their roster going forward, everything has to be considered.

It is no guarantee that any of these players get traded but there is a good chance at least a few of them are. That is also not limited to just the players on this list. The Blackhawks are stuck in hockey purgatory right now so they need to make some hard decisions. The first decision that might need to be made is whether or not this current regime makes any more decisions.
