94. . D. Chicago Blackhawks. Brent Seabrook. 3. player

The Chicago Blackhawks have had a few pillars to all three of the Stanley Cup Championships they have won. Brent Seabrook is one of those pillars. He will undoubtedly be remembered as one of the greatest players to ever pull on the Chicago Blackhawks sweater. He has an outside chance at the Hall of Fame but his number will certainly be retired when he hangs them up for good.

With all of those nice things said about Seabrook, the Blackhawks might be smart to move on from him. They might need to give something up for a team to take Seabrook’s contract but it might be worth it. He has been a great player for Chicago but the team defense might be better off with some younger legs in his place long term.

If they don’t trade him it won’t be all bad. He still can find success in the league if he is put in a position to succeed. He is no longer the second-best defenseman on this team so they need to stop giving him number two minutes. If he was treated like a bottom pair defenseman with the right partner, he might resemble the Seabrook of old to some degree.
