Chicago Bears: Ranking 3 quarterback trade options
The Chicago Bears need help at the position. Everybody knows that. Of every option available via trade, Andy Dalton is the most experienced. He has been there and done that but it is fair to wonder if the only above-average years he has are behind him. He was a good quarterback that was capable of leading his team to the playoffs year after year but that has fallen off lately.
The reason he gets the benefit of the doubt in a lot of people’s minds is the fact that he was on a horrible Cincinnati Bengals team towards the end of his tenure there. They were really good for a while but so many things led to them being horrible. If he were to go to a new team, would he show a few his old ways? It is certainly possible, but not guaranteed.
The thing is, Andy Dalton passed his prime is still better than Mitchell Trubisky in all likelihood. Mitch could come out of nowhere and win the starting job back but it would certainly be a competition. The Bears need an upgrade in the worst way so Dalton coming to Chicago wouldn’t be all that bad, but he isn’t the best option either.
