Chicago Bears: Ranking veteran FA QBs they can bring in for 2020
The New Orleans Saints had something special with Teddy Bridgewater as their backup. Drew Brees is one of the best who ever lived but when he was hurt Bridgewater got the job done. He was 5-0 as a starter with New Orleans and is 22-12 in his career. He isn’t a superstar but it is also possible that we haven’t seen the best out of him yet.
If that is the case then the Bears should absolutely go all-in on him. He would make this offense better just as an upgrade over Mitchell Trubisky. He is good enough that he can take advantage of this team’s great defense that it has. He would just need to come in and be himself and the rest of the roster would do the rest. Receivers like Allen Robinson would absolutely welcome bringing in a player like this to throw him the ball.
The thing with Bridgewater is that according to reports, he might be the most realistic option. There are people who think that this is a bad idea but there are also people who think that he is the best-case scenario not named Tom Brady. If Bridgewater wanted to come to the Bears, he is the best realistic option for the money.
