Chicago Bears: 2020 free agent adds from AFC East

2. OG Evan Boehm
A major offseason issue that the Bears need to address is going to be right guard. While the team could draft someone, keep in mind that there’s no guarantee that a guard that could come in and contribute right away would be available at either 43rd or 50th overall in the second round.
Since the Bears are looking to find a long-term option at right guard, Evan Boehm is a name they should look into. A fourth-round pick in 2016, Boehm has bounced around a few teams in the NFL. He’s been with the Arizona Cardinals, Indianapolis Colts, and most recently played for the Miami Dolphins.
Most would think that bringing in a guy who’s been on three teams in four seasons as an issue, a key thing to understand with Boehm is that he provides versatility, which in the NFL is never a bad thing.
Boehm is also just 26 years old meaning that he’d give the Bears a long-term replacement at the right guard position, potentially someone who could also challenge Alex Bars and Rashaad Coward in training camp. A contract for him would likely be a four year deal with $10 million dollars which in the modern NFL is more than a bargain for a starting right guard.
