The Chicago Blackhawks have only had a few things go their way this season and the way that Patrick Kane has played is one of those good things.

The Chicago Blackhawks are currently part of the suspended National Hockey League. The world is waiting for the Coronavirus to be contained so it can get back to normalcy. Hockey and all of the sports are being forced to take a backseat to that which is probably the right move. With that, it is fair to say that it would be less than ideal to see Patrick Kane‘s chance at 100 points go away.

He currently has 33 goals and 51 assists for 84 points in 70 games for Chicago. He is on pace for 98 points over the full 82 game schedule. Obviously, one hotter than normal stretch could easily put him over 100 points for the second year in a row and third time total. He deserves to have that chance at 100 points. Obviously, the fans and personnel need to be kept safe, but if they can figure out a way to resume the season it would be cool to see Kane have his chance.

Kane reached his 1000th career point during the 2019-20 season. He was such a great milestone for him to reach as the list of American born players to do it is short. He has been one of the best players to ever lace them up in a Chicago uniform. In fact, not only is he one of the best hockey players in Chicago history, but he might be one of the best athletes in Chicago history.

Fans are obviously rooting for hockey to come back for a lot of reasons. Watching Kane play has to be one of the top reasons for people who cheer for the Chicago Blackhawks. He is so electric when he has the puck on his stick and you know he is always going to create a sweet chance. Hopefully, the scary virus is contained sometime soon so we can get back to the fun things in life, like seeing Patrick Kane go for 100 points.
