Hug your loved ones…maybe metaphorically

We don’t have to explain just how difficult spring 2020 will be even without touching on the absence of baseball and the boys in blue.

But at times of crisis and uncertainty like this, we’re reminded just how important life and our loved ones are.

Kris Bryant and Anthony Rizzo have done a great job of showing us of how important it is to pass on that love to each other.

Okay, so perhaps getting right in someone else’s face isn’t the best idea when there’s a global pandemic going on. Maybe stick to a metaphorical hug or just verbalize your appreciation for those in your life.

Either way, some of the best medicine is to appreciate those people and things that you do have.

We’re gonna need lots of love in this time without the sport we love.

There’s a silver lining in everything. Unlike college sports whose seasons are being entirely cancelled , there’s still plenty of hope that there will be meaningful baseball played well into 2020.

We can do this, folks. Stay positive, follow the tips in this survival guide and before you know it we’ll all be back at Wrigley swearing at the Cubs for bobbling an easy grounder to second.

Until then, keep your head up, your hands clean and your optimism high. After all, we’re Cubs fans. We’re professionals at waiting.
