Chicago Bears: Nick Foles trade packages, plus the fallout
Trade 1
The Chicago Bears need a quarterback. They need to do whatever it takes to upgrade the position. If they have to reconstruct a Foles contract after acquiring him then the should do it. He is not an elite player but is worlds better than Trubisky at this time. He is also a proven winner so trading one of their two second-round picks for him would be a smart choice.

They will probably use one of those two picks to select a quarterback if they didn’t trade for one anyway, so maybe trading one for Foles would work out. It is a high enough round where the Jaguars would probably accept as well, especially with Minshew in the fold ready to take over full time. Foles was the guy for them after going there in free agency but his injury made them start Minshew and they are not committing to him.
Foles is worth giving up a second-rounder for because he might help the team on the field, but he might help the team off the field as well. He has been known to be a guy that his teammates love. His teammates on the Philadelphia Eagles, for whatever reason, always played better for him than they did for Carson Wentz. It is strange, but it’s a gamble worth taking for the Chicago Bears.
A second-round pick is a small price to pay to see if Foles could help lead this team to the playoffs, but getting a third-rounder in return would help ease the pain — especially when taking on Foles’ contract.
