By Ryan Heckman
3. Tight End Hunter Henry
This is going to anger a lot of people, but I have a personal preference against signing Hunter Henry.

Don’t get me wrong. I think Henry is very talented. I might even be pleased with his role and production on the Bears, should he sign with them. But, I simply don’t like the idea of signing Henry to a big contract.
Henry’s injury history is concerning, first and foremost. Not only did he suffer a torn ACL back in May of 2018, but he’s also had a couple other minor issues like a knee strain and a kidney laceration.
Now, when healthy, Henry is a big target who is a mismatch on just about any linebacker or safety. His 6-foot-5 athletic frame is a quarterback’s dream. But, I simply don’t like risking all of that money.
The Bears have already spent big on a tight end in Trey Burton, who is hopefully going to be back to 100 percent shortly. All of last year, Burton couldn’t get right. So, bringing in another guy at the same position, on yet another big money deal, just doesn’t sit well with me.
I would much rather the team go after another rumored target like Austin Hooper, who is a true pass-catching, route-running tight end and would fit very well within Nagy’s offense.
