Trade targets land where?

Cam Newton – Carolina Panthers

The Panthers are already looking like they will move forward with Cam Newton as their starting quarterback, so this one isn’t too difficult to predict. Of course, if Newton experiences any hiccup with his health, things might change. But, for now, it’s looking like Newton for 2020.

Nick Foles – Miami Dolphins

The Dolphins have a lot of money. They have also been in the business of stacking draft capital. If Nick Foles was to be moved by the Jacksonville Jaguars, he would have to come with a pick in order for some team to take on his contract. Miami gets yet another draft pick (likely third or higher) along with an experienced starter to mentor what will be a first-round quarterback from this year’s draft.

Andy Dalton – New England Patriots

If many of the free agents make their decision before Tom Brady, and the Patriots don’t want to get stuck, I could see them landing Andy Dalton for a late-round pick. Dalton would be a strong bridge for Brady’s ultimate successor.

Jimmy Garoppolo – San Francisco 49ers

Somehow, Brady’s name appeared in several reports in connection with the Niners. But, in the end, I believe they stick with Jimmy Garoppolo as their quarterback. As for Brady, he finds a new home elsewhere.
