Chicago Bears: Free agents nobody is talking about

5. S Anthony Harris
There’s no knowing what the Bears will do at safety this offseason. Ha Ha Clinton-Dix and Deon Bush are free agents. Perhaps poaching Anthony Harris from the division rival Minnesota Vikings could be a smart thing to do.
At undrafted free agent at one point, Harris made a name for himself by rising up the ranks in what has been a loaded Vikings secondary over the years. And for Harris, his breakout season came at the right time, as he notched six interceptions in 2019.
Harris is 28 years old but this is his first time getting a chance to test out the free-agent market. He really won’t break the bank which is a good thing for the Bears since they seem to be unwilling to commit tons of money to the safety position.
Harris proved in 2019 that he could be solid in coverage. He allowed just 65.2 percent of passes thrown his way to be caught which is impressive for a guy who was thrust into the starting lineup in 2019.
Harris could fall into the Bears lap because the Vikings are at a point where their own salary cap is tight and they’ll need to begin prioritizing who they want to bring back on defense. As of right now, Harris looks like he’s the odd man out as the team continues to figure out ways to keep its defense intact.
