Chicago Bears: 4 notable players team has met with at Combine
By Ryan Heckman
3. Offensive Tackle Charlie Heck, North Carolina
It is absolutely no surprise to anybody that the Bears are going to do a whole heck of a lot of homework on offensive linemen in this draft — no pun intended. One of the more curious prospects is Charlie Heck out of North Carolina.

As a former teammate of Mitchell Trubisky, Heck is definitely a guy to keep an eye on for that reason alone. The Chicago Audible’s Nicholas Moreano confirmed Heck has indeed met with the Bears this week at the Combine.
The senior is a monster of a man, standing 6-foot-8 and weighing right around 300 pounds.
Heck can play both tackle positions, which would give the Bears flexibility. He moves really well for somebody standing as tall as he is. North Carolina moved him a lot in terms of having him pull and lead out for his running backs, and he executed.
The Bears absolutely must add depth up front this offseason, and quite honestly would be better served to find a starting guard first. But, drafting Heck would give both Charles Leno and Bobby Massie someone to push them in camp.
