Trade 2

The Chicago Blackhawks would be very wise to add another first-round pick to the organization for 2020. This upcoming entry draft is a very fruitful one that should see a lot of teams add a guy who will be great for their organization for a long time. Earning as many picks as possible is definitely a recipe for success.

Last season, the Boston Bruins were clearly not going to trade their first-round pick. They then came one win shy of hoisting the Stanley Cup. This season, they should likely trade their first-round pick in an attempt to get back to the Stanley Cup Final. They are one of the few teams in the league that is solely focused on this season right now. They have Hall of Famers in their prime leading their team to the playoffs.

They would be very wise to add Brandon Saad to try him on the right-wing. He is normally a left-winger but they have a desperate need for a great goal-scorer on their second line right wing. David Krejci and Jake Debrusk lead their depth scoring after that elite top line of theirs featuring Patrice Bergeron, David Pastrnak, and Brad Marchand.

If Saad or Debrusk were willing to move to the right side, this would be a brilliant trade for Boston if they can’t get any of the other available natural right wings. They would probably have to throw in John Beecher along with that first-round pick to get Saad on a non-expiring contract. Beecher was taken by Boston in the 2019 Draft and currently plays at the University of Michigan. That could be a trade that fits both of the team’s needs if handled correctly.
