2. Justin Herbert, Oregon

This sounds absolutely crazy, especially because of how many teams are looking at quarterbacks this year. How could the Bears land Justin Herbert?

It wouldn’t be easy.

But, if Pace decided Herbert was his guy and wanted to go all-in, he’d likely have to package one of this year’s second-round picks along with next year’s first-rounder, and probably another second or third-round pick.

That’s a lot of draft capital, but if it means the Bears get their franchise quarterback, it just might be worth it.

Herbert is an impressive prospect who is likely to go in the top 10 of this year’s draft, and maybe even within the top five picks. He is a sneaky dual-threat quarterback with above-average mobility and also gives you the type of size you want at the position. While height is somewhat overrated these days, Herbert’s 6-foot-6 frame is ideal.

Over his last two seasons at Oregon, Herbert tossed 61 touchdowns to just 14 picks while throwing for over 6,600 yards. Herbert has also rushed for 13 touchdowns in his collegiate career.
