With NFL free agency coming up quickly, the Chicago Bears have to be careful with their limited cap space.

Every fan has their own idea of how to go about this offseason for the Chicago Bears. It’s a difficult offseason which is staring general manager Ryan Pace in the face, though, and no matter how you look at it, there could be some disappointed fans at the end of it all.

It is certainly a challenge to fill the holes on this Bears roster while not possessing enough cap space or draft capital to do it. Over the past few years, Pace has made decisions which will now be felt in a big way.

While those decisions have led to the Bears landing guys like Khalil Mack and Allen Robinson, it’s also led to a player like Charles Leno Jr. getting locked up on a somewhat pricy deal, only to regress immensely in 2019. A similar thing could be said for someone like Trey Burton.

Pace has made his fair share of brilliant moves. I’m sure the majority of fans would do the Mack trade all over again without question. If you’re in the minority who wouldn’t, I’d have a hard time letting you convince me of your stance.

Regardless, those moves are done and the Bears have to figure out a way to move on. Pace is going to make some tough decisions, no doubt. The Bears will cut ties with multiple players in order to open up some cap room. There’s no way around it.

But, when it comes to using that cap space, Pace is going to have to be careful. There are some enticing and polarizing names on the market, but the Bears have to do their homework and make the right call. The following are four particular players who all offer a lot to like, but Pace will need to use caution.
