Michael Jordan

At first, I wanted to put Michael Jordan and Scottie Pippen, but I am not certain Jordan would entertain sharing the team with Pippen. Pairing up the Batman and Robin duo would be exciting, but the most important piece is Jordan coming back to Chicago.

Jordan is currently the majority owner of the Charlotte Hornets. He is originally from the south and his only ties to Chicago come from being in a Bulls uniform. That said, those ties are very strong. Jordan is also a savvy businessman. The value of the Bulls compared to the Hornets is not even close. Jordan should sell those shares and then turn right back around and buy the Bulls.

Jordan should want to buy the team as a slap in the face to Jerry Reinsdorf who basically chose Jerry Krause over Jordan. What a mistake. Jordan’s Hornets have not been the most successful franchise either, but the energy and passion he would ignite into this city would be exponential. Have you seen the crowds at the United Center lately? Jordan could help fix that and bring the team back to its glory days.

If Jordan returned and brought more championships to the team on top of his six rings he won as a player, this city would go absolutely crazy. Jordan is a staple here in Chicago and this purchase would clearly be the most loved by Chicago Bulls fans.

No matter who buys the Chicago Bulls, the outcome will likely be positive. I am not sure anyone could run the front office, who in turn runs the team, in such a poor manner. Jerry Reinsdorf needs to go and new blood and ideas need to be instilled into the franchise.
