Chance the Rapper and Common

Did you watch the 2020 NBA All-Star game? Chicago did a great job incorporating people who have a rather large presence in the city. Two of the biggest celebrities who have done a great deal for the city are Chance the Rapper and Common. Both are huge philanthropists and have generated a large amount of money to help charities and especially the underprivileged children.

Many NBA players would likely love to play for a team owned by these two. These two would not have the financial backing to pull this off on their own. Just as Barak Obama, the two would need to create some type of venture capitalist group to help fund this endeavor. Lupe Fiasco and Pete Wentz are two other big Chicago Bulls fans from the music industry who could join the group.

I might be over-estimating how big of an impact these two would have in bringing in free agents. Jay-Z part owning the Nets did not help them as much as I would have expected. Could you imagine these two owning the team though? The halftime shows would be fabulous.

Chance and Common clearly love the city of Chicago. It would be interesting to see two rappers who love Chicago try to bring a championship back for the people. I could see them using the team to further their outreach programs for children in the inner cities too. These two already have a great platform, adding an NFL franchise to their arsenal would help them even more.
