The Chicago Blackhawks and Edmonton Oilers are getting set to play each other. What if they made a trade to boost each other’s chances as well.

The Chicago Blackhawks and Edmonton Oilers are meeting in Edmonton to play a very important game for both sides. The Oilers are in a playoff spot but it is only secured by a few points. The Hawks go into the game four points back of the final Wild Card position in the Western Conference. Each team is pretty loaded at the top of their lineup but then starts to fall off as you go down the roster.

Connor McDavid is widely considered the best hockey player in the world. He is probably the best skating hockey player to ever live. What he can do with the puck is like nothing anyone before he has ever been able to. He also has Leon Draisaitl as his running mate. The two of them are literally competing with each other for the league lead in points.

The Blackhawks have a pretty good 1-2 punch themselves. With Jonathan Toews and Patrick Kane on the roster, the Hawks are always going to have a chance to win. Those two are much more decorated than McDavid and Drasaitl, but they are not quite as good. There is no doubt that there is a lot of skill on the ice when these two teams meet.

What would be interesting, is if these two teams made a trade with one another to further their chances to make it to the playoffs. The Blackhawks might have a winger or two that the Oilers could use while the Hawks might be looking for some depth at other positions. These are three possible trade packages for the Hawks and Oilers:
