Geronimo Allison

Last year, the Bears added a former Green Bay Packer in safety Ha Ha Clinton-Dix. This year, maybe they do the same on the offensive side of the ball.

Geronimo Allison is a player who has scared me for a couple of seasons now. He is certainly someone who can stretch the field and offer the Packers offense some speed. Allison isn’t talked about too often, but he makes a real nice number three wideout.

Many believe the Packers are going to look to add some serious talent at the wide receiver spot this offseason; someone who can take over as a strong number two guy besides Davante Adams. If the Packers do that, then a player like Marquez Valdes-Scantling would slide in as their no. 3. With that type of move, Allison becomes expendable.

Adding a player from your bitter rival is never a bad idea, especially when they are affordable. Thinking about Allison taking over Gabriel’s role, at a lesser price, makes a lot of sense.

Another interesting tidbit about Allison, for those who don’t know: He’d be coming back to a familiar place if he signed with Chicago. Allison played his college ball for the Illini. The former Illini standout has 89 career receptions for 1,045 yards and six scores through four seasons in the NFL.
