Chicago Bears Free Agency: 5 bargain wide receivers
By Ryan Heckman
Breshad Perriman
For those draft nerds out there, you might remember that Breshad Perriman was supposed to be quite special. Coming out of Central Florida, Perriman was selected at no. 26 overall by the Baltimore Ravens back in the 2015 NFL Draft.

Four years in, and three teams later, Perriman is set to hit the open market again after being labeled, by many, a draft bust. However, last year, he finally showed something significant with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
Perriman had a career year with Jameis Winston and Bruce Arians, catching 36 passes for 645 yards and six scores. Those numbers put him at 17.9 yards per reception — an impressive number.
At 6-foot-2, Perriman gives the Bears a little bit of size at the position, but he’s also a fairly speedy receiver. If Chicago could bring him in as their number three, or even number four guy behind Allen Robinson, Anthony Miller and (depending on how the competition shakes out) Javon Wims or Riley Ridley, that should be considered a fantastic signing.
One thing not to be overlooked: Perriman does have seven career rushing attempts. For an offense like Nagy’s, experience doing things other than your every-down role absolutely comes into play.
