Defensive End Roy Robertson-Harris

For a couple of years now, Roy Robertson-Harris has turned into a fan favorite. He isn’t an every-down starter, but the perfect complimentary defensive end to come in and rush the passer several times per game.

Last year, though, Robertson-Harris had to step in and start seven games for an injured Akiem Hicks. To go along with Hicks’ injury, Bilal Nichols was out for a little while. It was essentially Robertson-Harris and Nick Williams on those two ends for a long period of time. It was their show.

Robertson-Harris is one of those high motor players you love to have on your team. You never have to question whether he’ll be taking a play off here or there — he’s always going full throttle. He is also great against the run, which is important when going up against backs like Dalvin Cook and Aaron Jones twice a year.

light. Hot. Bears: 3 Senior Bowl standouts who fill needs

Last year, Robertson-Harris ended up with a respectable 10 quarterback hits while finishing with 2.5 sacks. He also added three passes defensed for good measure.

The 6-foot-5 former Texas-El Paso lineman was a fantastic undrafted find for Pace once upon a time, but now, it seems he’s earned a multi-year deal. The Bears could really solidify their defensive line by keeping him around, along with another guy we’ll get to later on.
