Chicago Blackhawks: Three New York Rangers to trade for
The Chicago Blackhawks are in good shape right now as they control their own destiny. They could use some help at the trade deadline to get there.
The Chicago Blackhawks are looking to stay competitive in the Western Conference Wild Card race. They have won more than they’ve lost since the calendar flipped to 2020 and that has gotten them in that bubble conversation. There are still some other teams in the exact same position so the Blackhawks should be looking to improve if they are serious about making it to the playoffs.
There are some teams that are pretty well out of it in the Eastern Conference. The East is very competitive so the teams at the bottom really have no chance at this point. The New York Rangers are one of those teams that have little to no chance to make it to the playoffs. They currently have a record of 25-22-4 for 54 points. That is double-digit points behind for the final wild-card spot in the Eastern Conference.
The only reason the New York Rangers are even as little as ten points out is the play of Artemi Panarin. The former Blackhawks star would be in the conversation for the Hart Trophy if the Rangers were a little better as a team. As a result of their poor season, the Rangers are probably going to be looking to move some of their expiring contracts.
