Chicago Bulls Trade Deadline: 3 intriguing players on the block
By Ryan Heckman
3. Marcus Morris, New York Knicks
Not enough people are talking about the great season being had by forward Marcus Morris out in New York. Of course, Bulls fans can relate when talking about a guy like Zach LaVine. If you’re on a bad team, it doesn’t matter how good of a year you’re having. Chances are, no one is saying much about you.
But, with New York likely open to trading just about anyone on their roster, you better believe teams are interested in Morris.
He’s posting a line of 19.6 points, 5.4 boards and 1.4 assists while shooting 43.9 percent from three-point land. The Knicks have been amongst a lot of trade rumors for several weeks, and some are wondering just who they believe is untouchable other than R.J. Barrett.
ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski said that, despite reports stating the Knicks are going to keep him, that New York is “open to the idea of moving him.”
Depending on the price, the Bulls would benefit greatly from Morris’ veteran presence and ability to play and guard multiple positions. He would be a strong candidate to help lead the team down the stretch towards a potential playoff run.
