The Chicago Bears are in the market for a quarterback to come in and potentially steal the starting job and Cam Newton could be that guy.

Super Bowl LIV is over. The Kansas City Chiefs won in admirable comeback fashion over the San Francisco 49ers. Now, it is time to come back to reality for the Chicago Bears.

They are looking to improve on their miserable (based on expectations) 8-8 season. The season had Super Bowl expectations because their defense was so good and the offense was supposed to take the next step. The defense was great, but the offense was pretty awful all year long.

The main reason that the offense wasn’t able to take the next step was because of the play behind the center. Mitchell Trubisky was not very good for the most part. He had games where he looked okay, but he did not turn into even half the “star” that he was supposed to be.

He had a lot of pressure on him and did not live up to it. The entire organization suffered because of the fact that Trubisky wasn’t good. They need some improvement at the quarterback position and fast, otherwise 2020 is going to be more of the same.

One option for them to improve at the position currently resides in North Carolina. Cam Newton is a former NFL MVP winning quarterback that could be on the move this offseason. He would be a perfect fit for the Bears if he could stay healthy.

Newton was injured for a lot of 2019 but if he is healthy in 2020, he could help the Bears’ offense take the next step. The Bears would need to make a trade for him and they could do it with packages like the following two.
