Running Back Tevin Coleman, San Francisco 49ers

Kyle Shanahan has made it crystal clear that he can work with just about any running back. His system is flawless in terms of getting production out of the run game.

More from Chicago Bears

It seems like the San Francisco 49ers haven’t been able to keep all of their backs healthy at the same time over the last couple of seasons, but it doesn’t matter. One will continue to step up and produce. It’s like clockwork.

Speaking of health, the 49ers could be just fine if they cut Tevin Coleman this offseason. San Francisco would save $4.9 million in doing so.

Coleman injured his shoulder during the NFC Championship Game, but it wasn’t too serious. However, Coleman did not start every game this season as many thought he would. The shoulder injury wasn’t the first injury he suffered over the course of this season.

Coleman has never missed a lengthy period of time over his career, as he’s appeared in double-digit games during every season he’s been in the league.

If the Bears are looking to add a complimentary back to go along with David Montgomery, Coleman would be a strong signing, depending on how pricy his deal is.
