85. . LW. New Jersey Devils. Miles Wood. 2. player

Miles Wood is the biggest scapegoat amongst New Jersey Devils fans. He clearly tried hard in every game he plays in despite his coaches not really putting him in a position to succeed. He is best suited for a fourth line where he can use his speed and toughness to affect the game. He is very fast and creates chances for himself by using his speed but he doesn’t take advantage of it as much as you’d like.

There is clearly some potential for a good bottom-six forward in Miles Wood somewhere as he has proven in seasons past. He had a 19 goal campaign during the 2017-18 season are really good numbers for a fourth-liner. The Blackhawks don’t really have the forward depth to be confident in so adding a solid guy to play on their fourth line would be awesome.

The only thing is that the Blackhawks not putting Miles Wood out of place. He has had little to no success in the top-six with New Jersey. He would be a nice sparkplug on the fourth line with guys like Ryan Carpenter and Zack Smith. If he could find that spark that made him somewhat successful early in his career, this would be a solid addition for a Blackhawks team looking for depth at forward.
