The Chicago Blackhawks have a stud in Patrick Kane and he went out there and proved it some more at the All-Star Game in St. Louis.

Patrick Kane of the Chicago Blackhawks now has his 9th All-Star game in the books. That led all players who made it this season. Kane is amidst another elite season for the Hawks. Chicago is a team that is on the outside looking in but barely. Kane has kept them right there in the standings and he will need to keep it up for them to ultimately have a chance to get in.

St. Louis doesn’t appreciate Patrick Kane very much as he has given the St. Louis Blues fits over the years. He received a not so warm welcome every time his name was announced. It made it less fun for them when Patrick Kane participated in the “Shooting Stars” event. He tied with Blues forward Ryan O’Reilly and Toronto Maple Leafs forward Mitch Marner initially. Kane won the tiebreaker to win the event for the first time in its history.

Things were successful for Patrick Kane individually during the actual All-Star tournament as well. His Central Division team fell to the Pacific Division All-Stars by a final score of 10-5. Kane did have two goals in the loss though. He looked very good out there with the best players in the world. He embarrassed all of the booings that St. Louis threw at him. They were not big fans of Chicago’s superstar but he was playing for their team after all. Every time Kane scored it was a mixed reaction because their enemy scored but it helped their team.

All in all, it was a successful weekend for Patrick Kane. He was brilliant in both the Skills Competition and the All-Star game itself. Now, he will get to enjoy a few days off as Chicago is on its bye week. When they return, they will be looking to get hot as they try to get into the playoffs. They will need Kane to be at his best in order for that to be a possibility.
