Saturday afternoon, the Chicago Bears got a great look at a few draft prospects from the 2020 Reese’s Senior Bowl that would fill some roster needs.

If general manager Ryan Pace is to fix all of the Chicago Bears’ problems this offseason, he had better be ready to do it with some creativity and, as usual, a bit of a risk-taker’s mentality.

There is no doubt Pace and the Bears will be forced to make some tough decisions when it comes to personnel and how the cap is affected. But, with those decisions will come even more roster needs. This past week, the Bears got a good look at how to fix a lot of the current and future needs of the team.

Reese’s Senior Bowl Week has concluded, and the 2020 version boasted some star-studded talent. A lot of these guys could (and should) be on Pace’s radar come draft day.

Throughout the week, the top seniors in the country got a chance to go through live practices with one another while being coached by an NFL coaching staff. Zac Taylor of the Cincinnati Bengals coached up the South team while a familiar face in Detroit Lions head coach, Matt Patricia, coached the North side.

In the end, it was a pretty convincing win by Patricia and the North squad, as they took care of business 34-17. While former Oregon quarterback Justin Herbert received a lot of the praise (and justifiably so), there were several other standouts whom the Bears actually have a chance to draft — Herbert is a lock for the first round.

In case you’re just joining us, the Bears are without a first-round pick (Khalil Mack trade).

In any event, there were three specific players who caught my attention on Saturday afternoon. The best part is, these are all guys the Bears could end up with, and at an affordable draft position.
