Offensive Tackle Prince Tega Wanogho, Auburn

Projected Round(s): 2

Must trade up if available in Round 3

The only reason I have Prince Tega Wanogho listed here is if he is somehow available in the late second, early third area. At that point, he’s too much of a steal not to draft.

Tega Wanogho is also going to miss the Senior Bowl, which was a surprise development this week. However, he can continue to spend time down in Mobile in order to participate in interviews, meet with teams and learn everything he can.

The Bears have issues up front, and it’ll be interesting to see what they do here, because both of their tackles are under contract for a decent amount of cash. Charles Leno Jr. had a down year by some accounts, and Bobby Massie missed a portion of the season due to injury. This greatly affected the offense, and adding depth here is going to be crucial for Pace.

Of course, losing Kyle Long to retirement is going to hurt, also. The entire depth up front may have to be revamed, and Tega Wanogho would be a huge addition.

Because of Tega Wanogho’s injury concern, now, his draft stock could potentially slip a little bit. It was knee swelling which forced him out of Senior Bowl practices.

Measuring 6-foot-5 and 307 pounds, Tega Wanogho has quite the motor on him for his size. He is quick and explosive, and possesses excellent arm length.

One key highlight I like about this guy: He can handle blitzing from the second and third levels. He’s quick enough to be able to shift his weight directionally while standing those guys up and protecting his quarterback.
