Chicago Bulls: 3 trades to consider with Dallas Mavericks
By Ryan Heckman
The Dallas Mavericks are said to be wanting to add talent before the trade deadline. Could they work out a deal with the Chicago Bulls?
This year’s NBA trade deadline is under three weeks away, and it seems like there is about to be a lot more action than recent years. The Chicago Bulls may have a decision to make.
With recent reports stating there will be significant changes coming to the Bulls’ front office this offseason, I wonder if the current group up front would try to swing for the fences one more time.
No, that doesn’t mean trying to acquire a big-name player — that ain’t happening, folks.
What might happen, though, is that we see the Bulls enter another full-on rebuild. As I’ll mention again later, the Bulls’ current rebuild isn’t exactly working. So, why not try again, at this point?
The Dallas Mavericks are flying high out West, as MVP candidate Luka Doncic is darn-near averaging a triple-double this season. He’s turned into one of the league’s top players and has quite the supporting cast, featuring All Star big man Kristaps Porzingis.
The Mavs sure went all-in when dealing for Porzingis, and then making the Doncic selection. That’s how you do it; take some risks and hope they turn out to be big-time wins. The Bulls have yet to do something anywhere close to that in recent years, though.
Dallas could end up being a team which chooses to add some talent before the deadline, with some specific rumors stating they are after Minnesota Timberwolves forward Robert Covington. Knowing they have such a strong team and want to add one more piece, let’s take a look at what kind of deals the Bulls could offer, just for fun.
