Chicago Blackhawks: Three players they should trade before deadline
The Chicago Blackhawks have seen Robin Lehner have an outstanding year. He was nominated for the Vezina Trophy with the New York Islanders in 2019 which had people wondering if he was just a product of their elite defensive system. He came to Chicago and proved everyone wrong. Chicago’s structure is horrible and Lehner still is having a great year.

Any team that believes it is a goalie away from hoisting the Stanley Cup should make a move for Lehner. If they are that serious in their conviction they could even pay a hefty price for it. We’ve seen first-round picks fly around at the trade deadline over the past few years so you just never know. The only thing that is for sure is that Lehner would be a great addition on a lot of teams who need goaltending down the stretch.
Lehner has a sparkling .923 save percentage and a 2.85 goals-against average. That is on a Chicago Blackhawks team that gives up a lot of high danger chances. He is also 14-7-4 on the season which almost makes you wonder where they would be if they started him more. Corey Crawford is still there and gets about half of the starts. Starting goalie trades are rare so if we see one it is hard to predict what the return would be. However, the team acquiring Lehner would be getting an elite goalie ahead of their playoff chase.
