Chicago Bears: 3 standout National Championship prospects
There is no doubt that the Clemson Tigers got “Mossed” in this game. Thaddeus Moss had a pretty impressive showing for the LSU Tigers in this National Championship game. He is a tight-end that made a name for himself during this season as a part of the high powered LSU offense. He is the son of NFL Hall of Famer Randy Moss. He is hoping to follow his dad’s footsteps into the NFL and the Bears would be smart to give him a look in the mid-rounds of the draft. He isn’t necessarily a highly touted pick but one that could prove to be effective.
Everyone who knows and follows the Bears can see that they desperately need a tight end. They have nobody on the roster that is going to be the long term answer. They thought that Trey Burton might be an answer when they drafted him but that has not come to fruition. The Bears would be smart to bring anybody in to try and help that position because it was a train wreck not having one in 2019. That position is helpful in so many ways so having a good one is so important.
Moss was an absolute beast against the Clemson defense. He was effective when he needed to be as he added two touchdowns for the LSU Tigers. He had 36 yards on five receptions. He is the type of guy that can make the short plays needed. Burrow clearly trusted throwing him the football in this game which is something every quarterback should have with their tight end. Moss was great and hopefully, someone at Halas Hall took note.
