Chicago Bears: 3 standout National Championship prospects

The Chicago Bears had an 8-8 season in one that it was playoffs or bust. Now, they look to get better and the CFP National Championship is a great start.

The Chicago Bears have proven that they are not a good team. They made the fans think they were on their way with their 2018 12-4 season. That wasn’t the case as they were a model of mediocrity in their 8-8 2019 season. It was playoffs or bust for them but instead, they went .500 and are now going into the offseason with tons of questions. They need to have a significant retool over the spring and summer otherwise they are going to see more of the same in 2020.

One place they can continue to build their team is the NFL Entry Draft. They will look at all of the players who played College Football in 2019 as potential pickups in the draft either this year or next year. One place to start is the College Football Playoff National Championship. This year, it was the Clemson Tigers who went up against the LSU Tigers. They were both undefeated going into it which made it an extremely compelling game.

LSU won the game 42-25 over Clemson. The Bears should be looking at some of the players in this game to consider drafting either this year or next, depending on their eligibility. Of course, there are players that are going to likely be out of reach for the Bears. Obviously, Joe Burrow won the Heisman and then went on to be the best player in the playoffs as well. He is going to likely be the first overall pick in the draft and the Bears don’t even have a first-round pick at all. If they were smart, however, they would look at these three players:
