While Chicago Bears fans are watching the divisional round of the 2020 NFL Playoffs, they can think about these potential free agent additions.

The first weekend of the 2020 NFL Playoffs is well in the books and we’re onto the divisional round. Once more, Chicago Bears fans will be watching while their team is preparing for next year. But, that doesn’t mean we can’t enjoy the games — it’s football, after all.

This weekend, aside from hoping for another bunch of great games, we can watch a few players individually with the Bears in mind — those whose contract is up after this season.

General manager Ryan Pace has an important offseason in front of him with several personnel decisions to make. He’s going to be making decisions with a few things in mind.

First off, the Bears need to open up some cap space if they are to address some of the roster issues. There will be players cut in order to save money. A few of those guys to watch include Prince Amukamara, Taylor Gabriel and Leonard Floyd. Who knows, maybe Pace finds a trade partner for one of those — or others.

Second, Pace has to continue to give Mitchell Trubisky every opportunity to succeed — I’m well aware Trubisky probably isn’t “the guy” going forward, but Pace thinks he is. So, we’re stuck with him, folks.

The Bears have to improve their offense as a whole, mainly by fixing the offensive line by any means necessary.

Other potential spots to improve include cornerback, safety, tight end and outside linebacker. We’ll see what Pace can do come free agency and the draft. For now, here are some players to watch this weekend whom the Bears could have interest in.
