Trade No. 2

This second trade package is a little saucy, and it completely goes against the thought of Detroit “tanking” the rest of the way. But, they still net a young asset and a future pick.

However, they give up a pick as well.

Chicago would land Reggie Jackson, Bruce Brown and a first-round pick while sending Zach LaVine and a future second-rounder to the Pistons in exchange.

Jackson is the most intriguing part of this deal for the Bulls, because he comes off the books this summer and frees up $18 million in cap space. Brown is a young wing who could come in and provide a lift off the bench. But, most importantly, the Bulls get a first-round pick from the Pistons.

This will probably drive Pistons fans up a wall, but the above scenario would basically mean Detroit thinks LaVine is worth a first-rounder.

Hey, Nikola Mirotic was once traded for a first-round pick — let that sink in. Anything can happen.

Detroit would have LaVine, Andre Drummond and Blake Griffin — once healthy. That’s not a bad trio to build with going forward.
