Grandpa’s home!

David Ross is to the Cubs family what Mike Brady was to the Brady Bunch.

The rock. The inspiration. The fearless leader. The wise veteran. The beloved family man always striving to make everyone around him happy and better each day.

Grandpa Rossy has been missed by both fans and teammates since his playing career ended in storybook fashion after Game 7 of the 2016 World Series.

Fortunately, he’ll be back in the dugout and in uniform in 2020. Except instead of being in charge of the game from behind home plate, he’ll be in charge from the dugout.

Ross was hired as the manager of the club after they opted to not renew the contract of Joe Maddon upon the conclusion of the 2019 season.

Maddon was soon hired by the Los Angeles Angels of Somewhere in Southern California to manage the Halos. Maddon had been a member of the Angels organization for 31 years.

Even is the 2020 season doesn’t end in a championship, it will be great for Ross to be back in the dugout and on Cubs fans’ TV screens.
