The number one reason LaVine should enter the dunk contest?

The guy can win it — again.

When he was with the Minnesota Timberwolves prior to being traded to the Bulls, LaVine entered and won the Dunk Contest in back-to-back seasons (2015 and 2016).

Since being traded to the Bulls, he has fully come back from an ACL tear and has looked even stronger and more athletic than ever before.

While LaVine has been a very good and exciting offensive player for the Bulls over the last couple of seasons, that has come at the expense of his defensive liabilities. LaVine has certainly posted some near-All Star type of numbers for two straight seasons, but he has lacked on the defensive end.

In fact, he is notorious for his lack of defensive efficiency. That could be one of the only reasons any fans would be fine with seeing him traded. It was one of the main reasons several folks didn’t want the Bulls to match his offer with the Sacramento Kings once upon a time.

But now, all of that negativity and questioning about his defensive prowess could be forgotten for a weekend. In fact, all of the negativity surrounding the Bulls organization could be forgotten for a single weekend. LaVine should enter this year’s Dunk Contest — and win the whole thing.
