Chicago Bulls: 3 blockbuster trade packages with Minnesota Timberwolves

Trade No. 1
Wouldn’t this be an intriguing proposal — LaVine returns to Minnesota after having upped his game quite a bit. Along with LaVine, the Wolves would receive veteran point guard Tomas Satoransky who is in the first season of a 3-year deal with the Bulls.
In this deal, the Bulls would get an aging veteran point guard, Jeff Teague — who once hurt them years ago in the playoffs. Any fans remember that series? To go with Teague, the Bulls would snag 29-year-old forward Robert Covington.
For the Bulls, this would be mainly about shedding salary. Teague’s $19 million salary this season will be the last he earns before entering free agency this summer, opening up some room for the Bulls. Covington, though, could help add depth both on the wing and at the four position. This would make even more sense should the Bulls end up trading Thaddeus Young, whom the Los Angeles Clippers are currently interested in.
Dealing LaVine might upset some fans, but the reality is, he is one of the league’s worst defensive players. Chicago cannot continue putting up with his horrible efficiency on that side of the ball, and Covington is a much better defender.
