2. Dave Ragone is the Bears’ next offensive coordinator

Along with keeping stability for Mitchell Trubisky, Dave Ragone might be kept on the coaching staff to become the team’s next offensive coordinator. Now, this is a stretch because we don’t know, but it wouldn’t surprise me.

Andy Reid likes to promote within his staff, with Matt Nagy being one of those coaches. If Nagy is following in Reid’s footsteps, Ragone could be the team’s next offensive coordinators. I see where that could work for a few reasons.

Ragone knows the playbook as well as Trubisky does. He knows what Trubisky can do and knows how to use his strengths to help the team. If Nagy does hand the play-calling duties off to the next offensive coordinator, Ragone would make sense.

The team doesn’t have to come out and tell the public anything yet. They have time before choosing their next offensive coordinator. There is a strong chance Ragone will be at least considered for the position. There might even be an ‘interview’ between Ragone, Nagy, and Pace.

At the end of the day, it’s a Nagy and Pace decision. Ragone isn’t Nagy’s guy, he was John Fox’s guy. The team might be keeping him just because Trubisky likes him. They haven’t said much about it.
