The Chicago Blackhawks have had a monster decade. It is the best decade in franchise history and with that comes some really great players.

The Chicago Blackhawks had more success in the playoffs than any team in the National Hockey League during the 2010s. Only the Pittsburgh Penguins, Los Angeles Kings, and Boston Bruins even come close. They might not be the overall best team in the decade but they are near the top without question. They are the only team to win the Stanley Cup three times over the course of the decade. 2010 broke the 49-year long drought and then they followed along with more in 2013 and 2015.

The 2013 Cup helped bring the NHL back to relevance after a half year-long lockout. They were so excited to watch that their 21-0-3 start to the season was noted across the sports landscape. It was one of the most successful stretches of years the league has ever seen. It is definitely the most successful of any team in the salary cap era. It is hard to stay good in today’s NHL because you can only pay your roster a certain amount of money.

The best teams are the ones who get the most from their highest-paid players and their lesser paid players. The Blackhawks were really good at that during their run. In order to do that, you need great players. The Blackhawks have had some of the league’s best stars and depth players in the 2010s and it paid off for the team big time.
