As we enter 2020, what do the Chicago Bears need to do in order to get back into playoff contention? The list is heavy and unrealistic.

Boy, oh boy. Does Ryan Pace have his work cut out for him in 2020 or what? It is not an easy pill to swallow, but the Chicago Bears are entering a very critical offseason. Who would have thought after the season we saw a year ago, that the Bears would be going into an early offseason in 2020 with several questions at hand?

Like I said, it’s a tough conclusion to accept. But, it’s the one that lies ahead for Pace and his organization. The Bears have already been eliminated from playoff contention this year and are a far cry from the 12-4 team they were last season.

What happened? A lot of fans have stepped back and asked themselves this broad question. How did everything come unraveled?

It’s a harsh reality we live in as Bears fans, as we got to enjoy one winning season before we were back to mediocrity once more. The Bears gave us a division title, and then it almost seemed like that was the peak. It was an early playoff exit last season, followed by a 2019 campaign that fell far below expectations.

As many people do, I have come up with some New Year’s resolutions — but, for the Bears. These are no easy resolutions, either. Dare I say, they are a tad bit unrealistic. But, if the Bears can somehow manage to make these happen (or get close), they will be right back in the thick of the playoff race next year.
